Hardness Tester uses a proven, dynamic testing principle. An impact body with a hard test time is propelled by spring force against the test piece. Surface deformation takes place when the impact body hits the test surface, which results in a loss of kinetic energy. This kinetic energy loss is detected by a comparison of velocities (VA – impact velocity, and VB – rebound velocity) when the impact body is at precisely 1mm distance from the surface for both the impact and rebound phase of the test.
Advantages
- Wide measuring range – can measure Leeb Hardness of all metallic materials.
- Large screen shows all functions and parameters.
- Can test at any angle, including upside down. Automatic compensation for impact direction.
- Converts to all common hardness scales (HV, HB, HRC, HRB, HS, HL)
- Stores readings to memory, can calculate average readings based on pre-set number of test.
